On 20th August we launched our 5k with Rathfarnham WSAF AC members including Sean Hehir, who was Dublin City Marathon Winner in 2013 and first Irish man home in the recent European Marathon championships. Also at the launch were New Ireland staff Don O’Carroll who is a Club member and Deirdre O’Sullivan, Events Manager at New Ireland. Thanks for their support.

Liam Mycroft says:
Question… As i don’t have a car, and public transport is sparse on a Sunday, if I walk to the venue, will there be somewhere to leave a bag with coat/change of clothes for afterwards etc?
Thanks,
Liam Mycroft
Peter Claffey says:
Liam yes if you can get to Terenure College and the Gym which is at the back, you can leave your bag there. There is not a formal bag drop area but there will be people there who will keep an eye on it. Do not leave any valuables in it. There will be changing facilities and showers there and you will be ok. PJ
Jackie says:
This will be only my second 5k run as I’ve only recently taken up running. Is it for more serious runners? I hope to run the course in about 35 minutes and I’m concerned I might be too slow for other runners.
thanks.
Peter Claffey says:
Jackie. Yes by all means run the race. At 35 minutes you will be far from last. Look forward to the race as it is a fun event.
Kieran says:
As I have injured myself, is it possible to postpone entry to next year, or what suggestion do you have, thanks
Peter Claffey says:
Kieran
I am sorry, there are no refunds. You can transfer your number to a fiend. If doing that please E-mail me your details and that of your friend (Name/address/E-mail/ mobile no.) and I will change it on the system. If not, you can E-mail me next year and we will see what we can do. We have already incurred a cost for your Number etc. the fact that you have entered. Thanks PJ (pjclaffey@eircom.net)
